The project named The Vault is a collection of seventeen exceptional hip hop tracks and a literary poetry book. After losing her father in late 2019 and then her teaching job due to the current global crisis, the creative genius decided to pursue a lifelong music passion in her project combining lyrical, rhythmic and tonal expression of thoughts on social injustice, self-reflection and family presented with inspirational and spiritual messages that have the power to heal the souls.
Born and raised in the Washington DC metropolis, the single mother of 4 and an MS Warrior of 20 years, J. Kharma had started writing poetry when she was only 9-years-old. Spending her later years studying literary and media arts, she created her first short film which was selected for the 2016 Maryland International Film Festival. Her upcoming musical album and poetry book The Vault showcases her genuine passion for creative storytelling through the means of music.
